MS Society Awards 2017 | Awards Photographer London
Just a few images from the MS Society Awards 2017. As an awards photographer in London I get to photograph some great events but this one was truly inspirational.
Awards were presented for inspiration, research, volunteers and fundraisers to name but a few. And there were a few familiar faces there too. Actor Alum Armstrong, Janice Winehouse as well as Paralympians Kadeena Cox MBE and Stephanie Millward MBE. In fact, Stephanie even let me wear her Olympic medals (see my rather embarrassing snap shot at the end of the blog!).
It’s been wonderful to work alongside the MS Society recently. Initially as part of their #kissgoodbyetoms photography team and here at their awards ceremony. I even managed to snap a few headshots of the board and trustees, all amazing people.
So thank you MS Society for having me, it’s been a pleasure to work with you.
MS Ambassador Kadeena Cox presented the Digital Media award to Olivia Ferguson. Olivia launched her blog “The Odd Pigeon” as her way to raise awareness and share her experience of being a young carer to her mum who has MS. This started as a way to help Olivia explain to others how she was feeling and as a way to help her out, as she used to bottle everything up so after a counselling session. ‘The Odd Pigeon’ was born and is now read by over 15,310 people in 57 different countries. Just amazing!
